Trip experience
As usual, I walked to Thai Japan stadium by walk from Central World mall. Bus already parked at the spot when I arrived 15 minutes before departure time. Good to see some familiar faces again since last year.
Bus moved to head for Thammasat stadium around 10:20 am with 9 fans.
Don’t forget to bring USB code so that you can charge inside bus to keep your cell phone on during trip.
Before 11 am, with no traffic at all, bus came to our home stadium, Thammasat stadium to pick up rest of fans. Total only 20 fans joined the trip since it was on weekday.
Thammasat University is currently hosting university sports games. Luckily we got free sports drinks from its sponsor hehe.
Thank you so much True Bangkok United always for taking good care of fans on the road. Bottled waters and snacks are distributed to all for free.
Lunch time, we stopped at Thai restaurant for 40 minutes.
Every few hours, we stopped at gas station for rest and buying some snacks and drinks. PTT station comes with Seven Eleven normally but this time Jiffy store is for shopping.
At 3 pm, we had short sightseeing time at the temple in Chainat province. Most of Thai people are ardent buddhist so we often comes to the temple to pray.
Monk statue is fully covered with gold leaf.
Thai people are also enthusiastic fans for lottery haha. Next day was winning number announcement day so fans are looking and buying lottery ticket at the temple. One reason to pray well is to win the lottery so you will see many ticket sellers at the temples. Basically Thai people chooses the ticket based on their lucky 2 digit number to buy. 100 baht ticket can be won up to 6 million baht.
We finally reached Uthai Thani province. Near the stadium, we have another short stop for fans to buy street food on the roadside. Ticket and trip fee are collected on the way by staff.
Arrival at stadium
Normally we arrive at the stadium 2 hour earlier than kick off time to welcome our True Bangkok United eleven but we missed this time for a bit delay.
Since we already paid ticket fee to club staff, we do not need to buy tickets by ourselves. Away tickets are the most expensive, that is the culture of Thai football to charge a lot to enemies, haha.
Many food vendors are ready to feed football fans.
Public toilets outside of stadium.
Always bring toilet papers with you for provincial trip in Thailand.
Uthai Thani FC club shop is nice air-conditioned to stay a while to escape from the heat.
I got match ticket from the staff. Look their uniform is color is quite similar to our Bangkok United’s.
Away zone entrance is located on the edge of back stand. I walked to nearby Seven eleven to buy a coffee for 30 minutes. Other Thai fans are waiting for gate open while drinking beer to boost their energy to cheer up the team. They are very nice to invite me always to drink but sorry I am bodybuilder so I don’t drink alcohol hehe.
30 minutes before kick off, we entered inside of the stadium. With help of alcohol?? our chats are full throttle already.
Second half, we scored 2 goals to win the game. It was nice, thrilling game for both side to attack continuously.
Great jobs! True Bangkok United for away clean sheet win.
Back to Bangkok
After sending our brave players to home, we also came back to the bus to be back to Bangkok. On the way home, we got snacks again from the team.
Toilets and dinner break at PTT gas station for a while.
Turning to next day, we dropped off most fans at Thammasat University first then I also got off at Thai Japan Stadium around 1 am.
