Trip experience

Pick up at Thai Japan Stadium

Same as usual, I walked to Thai Japan stadium in Ding Daeng district from Chit Lom about 50 minutes in the morning.  At 7am when I arrived at gate 3 of Thai Japan stadium, only few fans are waiting but the bus has not yet arrived.

Walking this street to gate 3 of Thai Japan stadium

Gate 3 of Thai Japan stadium

Since I have a couple of time before departure, I walked around inside of stadium and finished toilets. Morning time at Sunday, many civil runners come here.

At 7:09, Bus already came to the spot. More than half of seats are full by the passengers from Thammasat University.

Luckily I got 2 seats by myself this time also to be relaxed in long bus trip. Bus is very clean and comfortable with leather seats. You can even charge your tablets, phones by USB port.

2 USB port between seats.

With a little bit late to wait for fans, we departed to Trat province at 7:40am. Since I was not sleeping at all last night, I fell asleep almost whole trip time.

Bus normally stops every 2 hours for snack buying and toilets. At first, we stopped at below huge motor way rest area where almost all type of food you can buy, Starbucks, KFC, McDonald’s and so on.

I just dropped for toilets while other fans are buying breakfast meals. I see many buses parked here maybe they are on company trip, wearing same jackets.

Leaving for Trat province again after 20 minutes rest.

Another rest point on the way.

Thank you for free snacks!

Sightseeing at Trat province

In Trat province, we came to stop first at ferry pier to Koh Chang (Chang island).

Photo taking time under super scorching sun! I also took some pictures then escaped to Seven eleven for comfortable place, hehe.

It must be Koh Chang seen from here.

Moving to Seven eleven for cool air.

After 30 minutes of stay, we departed to another destination for local sightseeing.

Next, we came to small beach side for mostly local visitors. I should have brought swimwear if I knew it.

Nice tropical atmosphere beach for local people to spend weekend holiday.

Food stall shops are open for visitors. We sat on the beach restaurant for a while and enjoyed sea food served here.

Trat stadium

2 hour 30 minutes before kick-off time, we finally arrived at Trat provincial stadium. It was third time for me to come here.

Food vendors are preparing for football fans come and enjoy their food.

Toilet observation as usual, hehe. Access is made from outside of stadium.

No papers inside the box. Always bring your own when visiting province in Thailand.

Pee stand, 555.

Soon later our brave True Bangkok United players reached to the stadium! We all gathered near to cheer up for today’s victory.

Let’s go Bangkok United!

W. Mota is all time favorite from BUFC fans.

Trat FC players bus.

Team merchandise shop and cafe under main stand.

Away ticket I got from BUFC staff. Ticket fee 200THB is collected inside bus already.

Since I wanted canned coffee at Seven Eleven, I walked to city center to find one. Nearest one is about 1.5k away from the stadium hehe.

One hour before match starts, I came back to the stadium. Our away stand is on edge of main stand, over toilet space.

Training session before game.

Stadium overview from our away team stand.

Kick off

Kick off last away game of 2023!

Corner kick by BUFC.

BUFC still attacks Trat FC harsh in 2nd half and the referee blew a whistle to request for possible handball by Trat FC in Penalty area.

Referee decided penalty kick of Bangkok United!! Trat FC goalkeeper walked to center circle to complain this judgment, 555.

Penalty shoot out opportunity by Willen Mota.

No problem at all! We scored firs goal tonight.

Goal celebration time by BUFC supporters.

After that Trat FC evened the game but at additional time, Mahmoud Eid scored winning goal by header!

Final score was 2 -1, Bangkok United again won in away game. We went nuts for our victory!

Match highlight.

Big applause to Trat FC for their fight.

Aftermath

After the game, this time I also joined players sends-off session. Supporters gave high fives with players to celebrate today’s win.

At 22:06 heading back to Bangkok finally.

30 minutes later, we stopped at PTT gas station for late dinner and toilet break.

We arrived at Din Daeng first at 2:43 following day. Same as always I walked to Central World in a night light for around 50 minutes. The way to Central world is not dark even at this time and no dogs are around so quite safe for me. Other fans took taxi 555 from drop off point.

OK! That’s all for the last trip report in 2023. Thai league will have short break in January for Asian Cup and resume in February 2024. I will join again away trip by Bangkok United then report here my experience.

See ya!
