A sunny nice day in November 2023, I visited JCB Plaza Lounge in Bangkok, located Chit Lom district so I would like to introduce the service and facility here. This lounge can be used for free only if you have JCB credit card or Debit card.
What is JCB?
JCB means Japan Credit Bureau, sole international credit card brand by Japanese company. They issued various card mainly in Japan to support and provide service to Japanese. Of course any nationalities can apply and enjoy the benefits by JCB card. You can apply in your countries or even in Thailand, they issue several JCB card, affiliated with local bank here such as Kasikorn, Krungsri etc
Please check each bank’s site for JCB card application.
KBank JCB Platinum
- Annual fee free depending on usage amount from 2nd year
- Minimum 50,000 THB income for foreigner to apply.
Krungsri JCB Platinum
- Annual fee free depending on usage amount from 2nd year
- Minimum 50,000 THB income for foreigner to apply.
AEON J Premier Platinum card
- 500 THB annual fee from 2nd year
- Minimum 15,000 THB income to apply.
AEON Gold card
- No annual fee for life
- Minimum 20,000 THB income to apply.
KTC JCB Platinum card
- No annual fee for life
- Minimum 50,000 THB income for foreigner to apply.

How to go to JCB Plaza Lounge
JCB Plaza Lounge is located in Amarin Plaza, right next to BTS Chit Lom station. Currently due to building renovation, sky bridge from BTS station is closed. Please do down to ground level first then follow direction below.

Go left to the side entrance of Amarin Plaza.
Walk straight this way.
Entering from Amarin tower, office building to lead JCB Plaza Lounge at 9th floor.
Take elevator to 9th floor.
This elevator is unique to operate. Before hop in, please select the floor to go on the screen then ride the elevator which screen indicates. Inside the elevator, there is no button to select the floor.
Service and Facility of JCB Plaza Lounge
JCB Plaza Lounge is right next to elevator hall.
Since most guests are consisted of Japanese tourist, Japanese language is used for information board.
Below says, until December 15th 2023, sky bridge from BTS station is closed due to renovation process.
Please show your JCB credit card or debit card to receptionist to enter the lounge.
Around 1pm on Friday, there are no other guests but me. Staff there said less and less Japanese come to Thailand due to weaker yen, JPN currency situation impacted the number of Japanese tourists.
On the bulletin board they put useful information for travelling in Thailand such as discount in restaurants and trips to provinces. Counter staff also can support booking these kind of service in case you need.
Charge spot available for free of use of course.
For the meantime, I enjoyed reading Japanese free magazine at window seat, looking Central world and Gaysorn plaza in Chit Lom area.
Free drink service
Inside the lounge, you can get drinks freely from the fridge. Be noted that you cannot bring them to outside.
Pet bottles water, canned coffee by Ajinomoto brand, and paper packed fruits juice (lychee or mango).
Jasmine tea and Oolong tea by Itoen brand.
I got coffee and Oolong tea for free, hehe. This is really nice service.
Take grape candy too.
Service Support by JCB Plaza Lounge
Lounge staff can also support not only touristic booking but emergency service such as credit card lost when in Thailand. They can issue temporary card.

Desktop computer and printer service is limited for 15 minutes of use and 5 black and white printing per person.
Free magazine and discount information books are free to bring out from the lounge. Unfortunately mostly written in Japanese language.

Below campaign is nice, bringing credit card slip, using JCB card in Thailand more than 500 THB will be rewarded alcohol spray and mask case. I will bring credit card receipt next time to exchange to the gifts.
I got 200 THB voucher too from other staff, that I can use in Terminal 21 Asok.
Let’s see if I have change to use.
Gift exchange
I came back to the lounge to get gift and enjoy the service again. Below gift can be given only one per day per person. If I bring another slip on the other day, I can get these gifts again.

Toilets can be used outside, shared with other tenants in the building. Please go exit from the lounge then pass elevator to find.
